An updated seat version is currently in development – details coming soon.

Our circular aircraft seat combines comfort with maximum sustainability through lightweight engineering, circular design principles and a material strategy geared toward reuse and recovery. Designed to reduce emissions and lower operational costs, the concept is guided by Cradle to Cradle thinking from the very beginning.

Lightness

Already 40% lighter than industry-standard seats, the FairCraft seat creates new potential for greater efficiency, lower fuel consumption and more sustainable cabin concepts.

Comfort

Designed with passenger comfort in mind, the seat’s textile structure and tensioning system adapt to the body to provide support while reducing pressure points. The result is a seating concept that combines ergonomic quality with lightness, durability and circular design principles.

Safety

Safety is a core requirement of the concept. Initial static analyses for crash scenarios have been carried out and the harness-based restraint system is designed to provide support and stability under dynamic loading.

Beyond the Seat

Within FairCabin, the focus extends beyond the seat to additional floor-to-floor cabin components, including storage compartments, lighting concepts and lining systems. Together, these elements bring the circular design approach into the wider cabin interior.

We are currently developing the storage compartment concept and will share further details here soon.

The concept aims to provide each passenger with dedicated overhead storage, complemented by an additional compartment for clothing and smaller personal items.

Lightning concept

Light has a direct influence on well-being, sleep, and alertness on board. Our lighting concept therefore sees illumination as an active part of the cabin experience, not just a functional necessity.

Together with jetlite, the aim is to develop chronobiologically effective lighting scenarios that can help reduce jet lag, improve sleep quality and support passenger and crew alertness throughout the journey.
